We had intended to do one of our usual grab bag shows of "fun" stuff, but then this happened.

Once the shock subsided, we saw a learning opportunity: How do conspiracy theories proliferate? How do we recognize misinformation and disinformation? What news sources should we avoid? Which can we trust, if any?

Also - just because - we talk about Stanley Kubrick's THE SHINING.

For guys who have “open minds”, titling the show “Debunking the Totally Idiotic...” is kind of a narrow view. It would be ok if you had some solid facts that shut down said theories. But at BEST you are taking everyone else’s word, just like you advise others not to do.
It would be different if you had a stellar show where you didn’t constantly spew your political rhetoric. No one cares who you like and who you don’t. Since we’re trying to be helpfully critical, you guys “take a break” like you’re going to have commercials. Guys no one is going to advertise on this lackluster product. And allow me to add, commercials would make your tolerable show unlistenable. Maybe you’ll get a cool internet Audible dot com affiliate program where everyone who does the free trial gets you .2 of a cent.
Stick to stories where you compare yourselves to “real celebs” and you both lamenting over long past success when you were “someone” in Hollywood.
Thanks for doing a rudimentary show with semi researched stories. It’s what I can show as an example of what NOT to do.
